In the Netherlands, every year in January we celebrate ‘dag van de eerste lijn’, or ‘eerstelijnsdag’. This day is a day that is entirely dedicated to everyone who works in healthcare. And that is a great moment for us to briefly explain what we do at NiceDay, for whom we do it, and why we do it.
NiceDay: a unique concept
At NiceDay we want to help you, because everyone deserves a ‘’nice day’’! – from this philosophy, we tend to work on our mission every day. At NiceDay, we believe that it’s all about you and we offer tools and insights into the following:
- How are you doing?
Insights through registrations in the NiceDay app. What makes you feel bad at a specific time of the day? How do movement and mood relate to each other? What makes that you managed to do something a few weeks ago but today you are, no longer able ?
- What can I do about it?
Next up, it is about the actions you perform as a person. Tasks in NiceDay are designed to be widely applicable. You can plan a fun activity, an exposure exercise or something else. It’s all up to you!
By recording ‘expected’ thoughts and feelings in advance and recording ‘actual’ experienced thoughts and feelings afterwards, the exercises become extra powerful and instructive.
- Who can help me?
We can help everyone, from light to heavier complaints, by linking them to the right professional specialized in coaching and mental health care.
Our goal in 2019
For 2019 we also have good intentions! In view of the developments in health care in recent years, it has become clear to us that there must be an alternative for traditional care provision. You may have heard it from the news: the waiting times in mental health care in the Netherlands are long. Between 3 to sometimes 8 months! Many people are waiting for help and we believe that the combination of scientifically proven therapies with today’s technology can make a big impact in healthcare. Accessible and faster to get started with your mental health: that’s what we go for!
We will do everything in 2019 to achieve our goals. You too?
